And Lao Tzu would have written a special passage on how stupid this lady is.

Her story belongs in National Lampoon. You can get a PhD in this garbage? Yeah, boy, it took a genius to decide to study body hair rebellions. Interesting that someone who no doubt never had a real sex partner is so obsessed with sex.

No wonder she hates men. No man ever gave her a second look except to say "Damn, you are really fat and ugly!" An excerpt from her web page, if you have the stomach for it: "SPECIFICALLY, I AM INTERESTED IN WOMEN'S SUBJECTIVE NARRATIVES ABOUT SEXUALITY, QUESTIONING DISCOURSES OF "LIBERATED SEX," HOW BODIES RESPOND TO LARGER CULTURAL NORMS AND FORCES, AND WHAT MIGHT BE AT STAKE WHEN WOMEN USE THEIR BODIES AS MECHANISMS OF RESISTANCE. THIS WORK HAS EXAMINED SUCH DIVERSE TOPICS AS FAKING ORGASMS, MENSTRUAL ANARCHY, BODY HAIR REBELLIONS, MINIMIZATION OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE, WOMEN'S STORIES ABOUT MASTURBATION AND SEX TOYS, AND CHASTITY PLEDGING."
I vote that cam stay in the closet.
Temperatures have not increased beyond the sinusoidal curve, idiot. We are at a point in that curve where temperatures would be expected to increase. Of course, there's that nasty pause in temperature increases for almost 20 years. Look, don't pretend to be some kind of expert on this when you're not. You're just spouting stuff you've heard from your lib sources. When challenged, as with my challenge on your ice core comment, you have no answer. That's because you don't really understand what's going on. Yeah, let's look at what the animals are doing. How about those polar bears, who are now having to swim miles of open ocean, and are diminishing rapidly in number? Oh wait …… turns out polar bears have ALWAYS swum miles in the open ocean and the reports of their decline in population were wrong.
Since you know so much about ice core data, cam, then you obviously know how recent measurements correlate with that cyclic data. In recent years, CO2 concentration has jumped WAY off the sinusoidal pattern. However, temperature has NOT jumped off accordingly. Temperature is still where one might expect it to be based on those 500,000 years of ice core data. And your educated answer is? Mine is that climatologists do not fully understand the Earth system.
I work and sell a product in academic circles. If my views as an AGW skeptic were known, sales of my product would plummet. When was the last time the word "denier" was used in association with science? I'm thinking when there were major clashes between the Church and scientists. Fitting, because unwavering belief in AGW is very much a religion. I have to bite my tongue when colleagues who are much less intelligent than I refer to all those "stupid idiots" who don't believe in the church of global warming.
From a National Geographic article: "In 2005 data from NASA's Mars Global Surveyor and Odyssey missions revealed that the carbon dioxide "ice caps" near Mars's south pole had been diminishing for three summers in a row." Let's see, Michael. You're smart enough to realize this isn't due to greenhouse gases, given that there's virtually no atmosphere on mars. So what's causing that trend? Could it possibly be solar output, and could it possibly be that our measurements of solar output are flawed, or dare I say it, fudged? There's an interesting social phenomenon going on. Physicists have historically thought of their discipline as being the most basic and most rigorous. I happen to think that's true. In the past, physicists would have been distrustful of work by atmospheric scientists. But today, they trust the AGW studies without question. Hmmmmm…… Could it be that the politics of the physicists is clouding their vision? Of course it is. It happens a lot. For example, I once had a discussion about economics on a physics discussion group. To a person, each physicist there claimed that Keynesian economics was clearly the only way to fix our current troubles, despite the fact that Keynesian economics has failed each time this country has tried it. Again, politics clouding their views. Liberal scientists as a whole accept sloppiness from other disciplines that they would never accept in their own discipline, as long as the politics fit.
arpiem, Conservatives have to stop making that claim. Floating ice (icebergs) is freshwater ice, as icebergs form by calving off of glaciers. When freshwater ice melts in saltwater, the water level does rise. Simple physics. We look foolish by repeating this false argument.
I've addressed this before, folks. Let's not use faulty logic. I'm an AGW skeptic, but I get my facts straight. Freshwater (which is what glacial ice and icebergs are) melting in saltwater DOES raise the level of the water.
