I don't know about the "political" part, but "incorrect" is certainly an adjective I would use to describe you, Mr Stossel.

House Passes "Jobs" Bill

This jobs bill passed with bipartisan support.

It's good to see that the legislators are getting something done for a change.

Health Care Delayed

I've been asking this question in other threads about health care:

I've learned that Israel has government-run, single-payer health care. I've always heard that health care in Israel is excellent. Does anyone know how they're able to maintain an excellent system without rationing, without denying the elderly health care, and without going broke?

Even the Palestinians-Israelis are covered, 100%, by the government. How is this done, and why can't the US do something similar?

Tea Partiers and the Angry Left

One effect of the Tea Parties is that the Democrat Alan Grayson in Florida is now leading in the GOP primary.

You read that right: The GOP primary. Grayson is more popular among Republicans than all the other Republicans running for his congressional seat than all the other Republicans put together. In fact, he's TWICE as popular as all the rest of the GOP field, among Republicans.

People who want government to keep their hands off of Medicare are obviously confused. The GOP should associate themselves with the Tea Parties at their own risk.

Why Winners Win

The US is an outlier in more ways than just not having school all year.

Of the 10 richest countries, we're the only one that doesn't have universal health care. Of the 10 richest countries, we're the only one that doesn't pay for college for all students. Of the 10 richest countries, every single one of them has free public education, kindergarten through college. Of the 10 richest countries we're the only one that doesn't subsidize child care.

Oh, by the way, that internet that has been such an engine of financial growth? It was made by the government.

Thomas, are you upset that nobody ever calls you "smart"?
What was the last time you spoke to a "regular" American, Rep Shadegg?

And are you sure that "regular" means what you think it means?

I bet you think that the insurance company lobby group that funds your campaign is a "regular" American.
