The problem is, for people living below the poverty line, catastrophic care doesn't cover a lot of routine care that children need. If you don't cover that, you're toast at the polls. At lot of the people living at that level are single moms. Also, you jack the Dems up with a continuous feed belt of political ammo. Healthcare has to at least insure that ALL America children can get decent care.
This article is dangerously accurate. While conservatives and freedom loving Americans across the nation are hoping that King v. Burwell will deal a mortal blow to the ACC, it could prove a pyrrhic victory for the GOP on Capitol Hill. The problem rests totally with the fact that, when SCOTUS decides this case, HRH Arrogance will still be sitting in the Oval Throne Room. American don't like this law, but they don't like other Americans without health insurance either. They also like the portability and family coverage provisions. The GOP will need to proceed with caution. If the whole ACA ends up going down in a ball of flames with nothing to replace it, the GOP will face a very angry electorate in 2016. I'm sure that's what POUTUS is hoping for. It might be wise to send Nobama a bill that extends coverages for the states only until 2016. Then, if the GOP holds the Congress and takes the While House, the Abominable Care Act can be properly killed and replaced with honest, common sense legislation.

By the way, I am a Conservative Christian and Jeb Bush won't be able to buy my vote in the Primaries. But if wins the nod, he can count on me in the general election.

Any Republican that sits home for a Jeb Bush general election candidacy can turn in their GOP card and slap a Hillary sticker on their car. That same attitude with Romney gave us four more years of Obama. So stand for the brand or move to France and join the other socialists because if we let Hillary in we'll get at least four more years of leftist socialism. Hillary is just Obama in a dress and a bad wig.

Walker is an outstanding choice. A proven competitor who clearly articulates his ideas and follows through. He kicked the unions in the teeth in Wisconsin and they went after him with blood and fury. But he beat them and wins elections in a blue state. A Walker candidacy would be a strong one. I like Cruz too, but he he tends to get a little loose in the gums. We saw with Romney that one idle comment can do a ton of damage. A VP choice will be a tough one. There are some good choices, but they may not be willing to sit in the back seat.

I agree that I would like to see a leaner, meaner field for the GOP with a lot less infighting this time around. However Hillary has feet of clay. She is vulnerable in her Obama associations, Benghazi, her lack of State Department accomplishments, her health, just to name a few. So if she proves to be the Dems great hope but a weakened candidate, that would be a win-win situation.
The GOP leadership should be working on an immigration bill (one that sets border security first and foremost) right now. They should announce it and get it done. This will steal the Pompous One's thunder and it would add credibility to any lawsuit that claimed he usurped Congressional power if he should try an executive order. The best defense is a good offense. The majority of Americans want the border secured and are against amnesty. They would be outraged if Obama defied a firm, formal announcement to get immigration reform done by Congress and took matters into his own hands. Stick another fork in the Dems.
What's clearly important here is that the Obama administration has no challenges to their plan in stock Democratic voter roles with illegal aliens which this President intends to make legal with a wave of his royal ego.
Thank you!. I am tired of this idea that restricting our southern border is political suicide because it will alienate the Hispanic vote. If Hispanics want a nation of lawlessness they can probably move back where they came from. Our laws are our laws and it's insanity to have such an insecure border. Obama sees every illegal alien as a potential Democratic voter if he and his Hole-In-The-Head Gang known as liberal Democrats can figure out a lawless, unconstitutional way to make all illegal aliens citizens. He's definitely of the mindset that it's easier to show contempt than to ask permission. So real immigration reform that does what Americans want, secures the border first, will never pass with our Anarchist In Chief. But the GOP should put that on his desk anyway, to show the rest of the country that his administration needs to be shaken down by the RICO statute.
D'Souza has Obama's number alright. His father was an rabid anti-colonialist and Obama is his clone. Anyone who believes that our current President has any regard for this nation and its history; any sense of American exceptionalism, is seriously delusional. Obama despises America except for what he thinks it should be: A conduit for western money to the rest of the world.
Immigration doesn't have to be a 3rd rail for the GOP. Poll after poll shows that Americans favor securing the US/Mexican border first, then dealing with the inherent illegal issue. In other words, plug the leak before you pump out the cellar. The House needs to craft just such a bill, dramatically increasing border patrol manpower and providing them with more drones, listening equipment (tunnels) and whatever else they need. Their biggest problem is covering the cost. Also the bill needs to include deporting anyone with a criminal past. Throw them out and make it exponentially harder for them to get back in. Lastly you address the issue of the illegal aliens left behind. So the House announces and crafts this bill. They send it to the Senate and left McConnell scrape up enough votes to send it to the White House. Then let the President announce that he doesn't give a damn about border security, all he wants is to give illegal rapists, terrorists, and murders a free pass into America. Look that arrogant buzzard in the eye and stare him down.
