Is a legislator empowered to dictate how you may defend yourself. The right of self defense is a natural, fundamental right. Can that right be mitigated by legislation by someone driven by fear and if it can by how much? Your right to defend yourself is absolute although some would try to bully you into giving up that right bit by bit.

Colorado, like Wyoming used to be pioneer states. I've lived in Denver and C Springs and the vistas and the history are some of the most exciting of all the states. The skiing is second to none. Unfortunately, the beauty attracted money and money brought the fearful liberals with it. Now I live in Texas. Not as many mountains but not as many liberals either.

After what feels like a little bit of a lull in the gun debate because of the sequester, state lawmakers are back at it trying to limit second amendment rights. In Colorado lawmakers are now trying to limit what kind of guns one can own. And it’s not the “assault” weapons that everyone has been talking about. Remember how the President said he didn’t want to keep people from hunting and how he released the photo of him shooting a gun?
