"No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for. Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the United States of America. We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act. And make no mistake, justice will be done. But we also know that the lives these Americans led stand in stark contrast to those of their attackers. These four Americans stood up for freedom and human dignity. They should give every American great pride in the country that they served, and the hope that our flag represents to people around the globe who also yearn to live in freedom and with dignity."

Yeah at least 3 minutes into a speech. The first 3 minutes were devoted to claims that we respect other religions, apologizing for the video, and stating that nothing justifies this type of violence.

After this Obama notes that the incident happened to occur as he was attending memorial for 9/11 and proceeds with the above statement.

Clearly the above referenced 9/11 not Libya. Obama did nothing more than recognized the timing of the terror act of 9/11 and the violence in Libya.

I agree that he did not directly connect the 4 deaths to a terrorist attack, Greg, ans I think that he should have. Coupled with his subsequent statements and his speech at the UN, it is - at least - disingenuous for him to claim that he did. My point is that there was a reference to terror and the 4 deaths and that THIS is what the Libs are using for cover on this issue. If we are discuss this with the Undecideds (and I cannot understand how anyone could be serious and still be undecided, but I do not want to take any chances in this election) we need to have the facts. Then we may be able to reach a few more voters, perhaps enough of them to send Obama packing.

Just how badly did CNN's Candy Crowley destroy her first (and hopefully last) attempt as a presidential debate moderator? More than 65 million people saw that she is to debate moderation as CNN is to "news."

Barack Obama made a fatal mistake when he lied, claiming he'd labeled the Libya attack as an act of terrorism. The look on Romney's face said it all: Mr. President, here comes checkmate.

Then Crowley leapt to Obama's defense, declared a lie a truth, changed the subject, and Obama was free.

It was a travesty.

Let's get beyond the perennial partisan toe-taggers Rachel Maddow...
