Uninstall Firefox

Will someone please follow up on the story that OK Cupid execs have given dollars to pro DOMA supporters. That may indicate that this is more about Office politics at Firefox than gay rights. A certain member of the Board at Firefox is rumored to have engineered this solely to get rid of Eich. If so, a business decision like this is one more reason to boycott Firefox than conservative social or religious beliefs. It strikes at the heart of free market enterprise as well. .....Bad product.or bad business decision, we still vote with our choice of business. If OK Cupid comes clean and severs relationship with Firefox, then they have the opportunity to make sure this doesn't become the precedent for the false (but most Constitutionally important) 1st Amendment argument that Firefox has turned it into. I already uninstalled Firefox and will NEVER add it back. I hope they go belly up for any and all reasons especially the violation of personal free speech no matter what the whole truth is.

College Isn't For Everyone

Has anyone else seen the stats on "government scholarship" college grads? This is the group that actually graduate with a degree. From what I remember, over half will NEVER have a job requiring a degree. Sadly, once (if) the recession ends, many fine students not receiving a government ride will never get a start in their chosen field. And, will still be forced to front money via tax for more unqualified students to ride free.

Why Are We Still on the DMZ?

Exactly how is China with its' unequal distribution of wealth and lack of a vibrant middle class a capitalist country? I think the word imperialism would more accurately describe China. The US is becoming more imperialist as well through Keynesian/Marxist control of individual wealth. But, there's no reason to bastardize capitalism with incorrectly using the terminology. To survive as a capitalist country, the US must encourage competition through anti trust enforcement and protection of individual rights of ownership which results in true productivity advances.

Unions Lose it Under Obama

Unions can exist only in good economies. That's because, like the government, they don't increase productivity. They can leach off of a healthy economic climate without revealing statistics. They are a hidden tax that comes to light when the layers are pealed back. Note the effect of Right To Work laws have in those states vs. the anti work laws in other states. One of the main reasons union membership is down is due to the unions themselves going after new membership. As they try to unionize lower paid workers (often a high percentage of illegal workers), the existing members correctly see that they are being replaced by lower paid workers. Not smart, uh? Their Marxist theories are revealed for the 'traps' that they are.

Pretty sure even hate speech is protected by the 1st Amendment. Otherwise, I would be tempted to tell the Trustees to shut up.
