Why are you answering your own misstatement of fact? Are you used to winning straw man arguments?

Apparently, your logic states that if any other leader in the world that you disagree with does something wrong, then it's OK if a US president does? Is there someone running for president that spent 20 years listening to Cardinal Law specifically?

Breaking the Back of the GOP Base

Yes, yes, yes. The only thing I disagree with is that Hugh implies this will happen in the future. An honest mistake for someone who has a well paying job. This over taxation has already decimated the lower middle class. Cain's plan is the only one to consider effects on the near poor through actually alleviating pressure to increase prices on all goods. Exempt food, medicine, real estate charitable giving and state and local taxes.

Ann Coulter Could Not Be More Wrong

Romney is the best at not answering the question asked and convincing himself that he has slipped one past us. Conservatives must be energized to vote if we really intend to take the Senate in 2012. Romney does not do this. Yes, the regular GOP conservatives will vote for him, but the purple and blue state conservatives that have not been voting regularly will stay home again. Would I walk a mile door to door for Romney? No. Ann is wrong and Erika is right.
That's true in a closed system like the one we're stuck in now. But, a proper tax system which increases private enterprise turns the equation around. During Coolidge's term as president the government was only 2 percent of GDP. Spending cuts are the immediate way out, but lasting growth grows the pie and that supports those of us just entering retirement by growing GDP (the other side of the equation).
Correct, and, the Senate has not produced a budget in what .....close to 900 days? GOP does not control the media like the libs either. That's where the majority is really being out voted. Conservatives outnumber liberals 2 to 1 in real life . So it's not like we don't have the power, we just roll over and let the libs get reelected. The honest get-out-the-vote would turn our way if we energize and educate the troops.

A Stupid Energy Policy

Agreed. Clearly written piece showing micro realities as they relate to the macro picture. Most important point...US citizens are subsidizing overseas energy as inefficiently as possible.

This is not so much of the cart before the horse as it is a belief that the cart pulls the horse. Artificially limiting supply drives price up but does not increase demand for higher priced energy. Alternate energy sources are not affordable whether paid by just higher price or by higher price plus tax increase.
Trivia: What was the original name of Bank of America? Bank of Italy.
