Beyond the real politics of it all, and this might be a stretch, but if researched might be worthy of at least some consideration in politics. With little doubt Romney showed many great human qualities that success garners. What he lacks--at least in front of crowds--was "down-to-earth" affection for people he encountered beyond the typical handshaking. He seldom, if ever, showed real physical affection to people. No real embracing or kissing of the cheeks in a discreet and non-threatening way. Just the opposite of Obama...it's a conscientious PR move ! It's a sign, however small or perhaps non-meaningful that one feels their pain...one has a connection to them...it's more than a hand shake. Obama did it almost all the time when greeting !
Our large cruise ship sailed within view of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, as a gathering of conservatives sponsored by National Review magazine considered the wreckage of the 2012 election. Most of the writers and commentators on board agreed with Ralph Reed of the Faith and Freedom Coalition that the last thing conservatives need to do now is to form a "circular firing squad." But lessons must be learned.

Was Mitt Romney, as some suggested, "our best foot forward" -- a highly intelligent, photogenic, generous, public-spirited, articulate man of great integrity whose loss can only be chalked up to the poor judgment...
