Help me out here, gang: obama has, at times, mentioned the tsunami that struck Japan as a reason for our own bad economy. In 2004, when the tsunami struck Indonesia did our economy suddenly tank or does the latitude and longitude of a storm have that much to do with it? Also, since the spin of the earth causes the winds to generally flow west to east, particulary in the North American continent how are we getting hit with "headwinds from Europe?"

One thing is clear: The reactions from Romney and Obama to the jobs report couldn't have been any more distinct. Romney sounded sympathetic yet confident, while Obama all but ignored the news of our stagnant economy, and instead tried to spin the numbers as a positive development. Then again, this is Romney's forte, he knows what to do. Obama? Not so much - just more "excuses" as usual.
