Powell is looking at a run for president - as a Democrat. He will be adored by the liberals for "seeing the error of his Republican ways" and joining the enlightened elite, and he will pull along a few RINO's and others from the middle. There is a reason they call him "General" - he sees the entire arena and this is a good strategy.

Powell is not going to run for prez. If he wanted to be prez, he would have done it at the peak of his popularity.Long before he showed his true colours.Like when he was proud of his affirmative action promotions up the chain of command. Now he has "Grown".
IMO. He was always "Grown" But he hid it so well, he fooled the idiot bOOsh and other R's.
But if he was gonna run, I'm sure he would run as a republican.

He's too old and without a broad base of support for a presidential run.

It will BE Hillary in 2016. And I will out there swinging a sword, lopping off the heads of her detractors.

Why is Powell too old, but Hillary is not?

Last night on the O'Reilly Factor, former Secretary of State Colin Powell again accused the Republican party of racism, saying calling President Obama lazy is code language despite Obama referring to himself as lazy. Powell's comments come two weeks after he said the GOP had a "dark vein of intolerance" on NBC's Meet the Press.
