Who Is Paul Ryan?

I heard Hannity interview Ryan last night and was overly impressed with his knowledge, experience and ideas. I'm on Medicare and his explanation of those 55 and over will not change and those under 55 have a choice of either taking it as it is or giving them other options. What's wrong with this? I also saw a interview with the former leader of the D.C. unions yesterday. He said the goal is to destroy capitalism and replace it with Communism. Obama is doing his part in making this happen.

You're easily impressed.

I wasn't. Sure, he's a good talker, a fast talker at that. In the end, he voted for Big Government, and as the good book says: By their actions you'll know them. Talk is cheap.

My goal is to end Medicare and every redistibutionist program the government is involved in now.

Ryan's idea to let Medicare alone until we can start a voucher system might eventually lead to complete privatization, though perhaps not in our lifetimes.

Again, much preferable to what we are doing now, which is nothing except averting our eyes to the coming debacle of a bankrupt country.

As flawed as Ryan is, he's preferable to Obama/Biden/Pelosi/Reid and smarter than all of them put together.

Ryan is a very astute man...an adult and a leader, which we haven't had in the WH in 4 years. When the adults take over again, ground those kids! They (the DEM teenagers) have maxed out the country's CCs and destroyed their future. I'm SOOOO HAPPY to hear that seniors can see right through the BS BO has been serving up. I'm sorry more women aren't seeing through the "War on Women" BS as well. WAKE UP LADIES!
I wanted to like Paul Ryan.

Before he was nationally known, Rep. Ryan visited me at ABC, and we went to lunch. He was terrific. He was a rare politician, one who actually cared about America's coming debt crisis and the unfairness of entitlements. He even talked about F.A. Hayek's "The Road to Serfdom"! If only more politicians thought that way.

But then the housing bubble burst. Ryan voted for TARP. Then he voted for the auto bailout. Who is this guy? I thought he believed in markets!

At Fox, when I got my own TV show, I asked him about...
