My daughter home schooled all 4 of her children. Thy have since graduated college and are productive in our society. i don't like what schools now teach our kids and home schooling is a excellent alternative. The quarterback at Kansas State and a contender for the Heisman award was home schooled.

Home schooling is nearly impossible to get approved in California...liberal capital of the US. One of the ignorant stipulations is that the home schooled student have some kind of contact with a certified teacher...who is employed by the local school district which means they are a card carrying member of the local branch of the NEA--liberal teachers union.

So it's the school's fault? Get serious. I sent my kids to public school. They turned out great.

They can be taught how to balance a checkbook, read a contract, and acquire the tools necessary to live productive life. Yes, much to be said for and to recommend home schooling, if possible. Feel very sorry for the good teachers and good kids left behind in the public school system.

If I had it to do all over again, I would have home schooled my kids too.

It should come as no surprise that the rate of mass shootings at schools and in other public places is increasing. The surge has nothing to do with guns, which have been widely available in the U.S. for years. Gun control laws have been increasing. Instead, there is a direct correlation between the increase in violence and the gradual degradation of morals, ethics and parenting. We are cultivating mental illness in our society.

Parents are allowing television and video games to increasingly babysit their children, even though both have become full of gratuitous violence. A New...
