As far as Reagan doing nothing. His creative record keeping gave us the current unemployment figures that don't show the actual numbers. He changed the way they are calculated. If they followed the old calculation unemployment would have been higher when he left office. He changed how the gdp was calculated again to make himself look good at the cost to the hard working people.
