Both sides of the aisle have done more than nibble at the edges of the constitution. Every time there have been recess appointments, back room deals with the devil, appointments of czars and other usurpations of legitimacy it's been overlooked or regarded as necessary to maintain the balance of power. The problem is the balance of power is not between the governed and their governors. The balance of power has been between the democrats and republicans without regard to the governed.

If Obama really believes in the separation of church and state, perhaps he should stop acting like he’s a god; just a thought for a guy who, apparently, would like to win another presidential term.

Americans occasionally will make sacrifices to false gods, like they did in November 2008 to the Obama of Greek columns and digital halos. But inevitably, the American public grows tired of the gods they make when the gods appear as nothing but mere mortals.
