That's because sales between private gun owners and sales at gun shows are exempt under federal law." FFL Dealers at guns shows MUST conduct a background check. The background check at gun shows from private sales is the same as a private sale conducted outside of shows. If someone is recommending amending a law they should at least have the courtesy to state the law to be amended correctly.
