The governments, federal, state and local have priviledges no one else enjoys. They don't have to obtain positive results in order for their statutes and ordinances to persist. They can also force people to finance failing ventures and punish them if they refuse to do so. They get to take credit for whatever goes well, even if it can be proven that the serendipitous occurrence came in spite of their agenda and not because of it. Likewise they get to blame failure of their agenda on the failure of their citizens(subjects) to follow the agenda properly even when it can be proven that the citizens(subjects) actually followed the instructions as they were written.Ironically their citizens(subjects) re-elect them and give them pensions.

Those privileges are enjoyed by all parties. Why would they change when they know that's how it works?
