Too Much College

No wonder so many aren't ready for college. With the aid of the NEA-halfwits we aren't teaching anything that prepares the kids for much anyway. When I found out that Duke University has remedial courses offered that says it all, doesn't it? Too many employers are using a college degree these days as a way to get at least a high school educated candidate because they know the unpreparedness of the usual high schooler. In defense of the employers, I understand their reasoning. For such secondary incompetence we are spending a blooming fortune and worldwide we are an educational joke, as a result. The NEA/AFT are trade unions who really don't give a hang for outcomes as long as the extravagance continues for their membership.
My Detroit Grandfather told me about the conditions in the auto plants in the '20s and '30s and said, "Richie, we HAD to have the union". Agree but the union movement today is more about the wrong things of unionism than about redressing the grievances and conditions of which my Grandfather spoke.
