Dave: If this is true, it is frightening. How could a literate person like Ms. Rice who takes such a strong stand be so ignorant. The American Bishops have specifically addressed this issue. No true Christian, Catholic or otherwise, hates homosexuals.

I have been in the same Parish for the last 11 years. I don't think my priest has even had a traffic violation, much less treid to run over anyone. PS The pews are full on Sunday and the parking lot had to be doubled in size. Do not compare what you see in dying Europe to a remarkably resilient 2000 year old tradition. I have enjoyed mass in cathedrals and in airport conference rooms. Two weeks ago I had a priest from Africa celebrate mass and enjoyed the wonder that no matter who is our leader we are all part of the same tradition. Anne Rice is nuts. Did you ever see Exit to Eden? I did, then I had to go to confession.

Great article. I have yet to see one article that says that the feds can do the nuts and bolts of health care better than the private sector. It's all about who is going to pay for it: US!
