There are a lot of good conservatives and smart business men who would be an asset to a Mitt Romney presidency. Oh, please Lord it has to happen. Two of those being Marco Rubio and Rob Portman, a financial man. But I think the best choices Mr Romney can make for his running mate are, and not necessarily in this order, but ladies before gentlemen. Condi Rice (EXCELLENT CHOICE) and Retired Lt Col Allen West (ANOTHER EXCELLENT CHOICE). Rpomney needs an expert on the middle east as his running mate. Miliitant Islam is our (the world's) enemy. And there are no 2 better people in the Conservative Party that know Islam the way Ms Rice and Mr West do. My personal fav, and millions of others think the same way is Rep West. A fiery fighter.

I heard West address that thought this week. He politely declined by saying that he didn't know what Romney's beliefs are and didn't know if they would match with his. This is the man who is articulate on any subject and speaks on every subject in the most Reaganesque manner of any politician currently out there.

After last week's speculation, it looks like Condi is still uninterested in being Mitt's running mate:

Despite the Drudge Report’s article Thursday night reporting that  Condoleezza Rice is the new frontrunner to be Mitt Romney’s running mate, a spokesperson for the former secretary of state tells ABC News she is still not interested in the job.
