I saw Avatar with one of my sons, a freshman in college. It's true that the movie is full of cliches about predatory business.

We discussed the anticapitalist message afterwards, but still enjoyed this beautiful movie which you describe so well.

My son is studying engineering, but aspires to be start his own business, so I don't think he was irreparably damaged and we have discussed that the true purpose of capitalism is to find needs and create services or products that fill them.

Many evaluations of comprehensive sex ed programs claim that they are "effective" if they increase occasional condom use at 3 months, 6 months or 12 months, a LAUGHABLE standard. Their mission was to shut down abstinence ed before anyone noticed.

Hagelin's other point is VERY important: the Guttmacher/Planned Parenthood/SIECUS Gang believe that teens have SEXUAL RIGHTS. As she writes, "they want teenagers to be free to have sex yet somehow magically escape the biological consequences that often come with living a life of promiscuity. And their magic wand is the condom."
