Will States' Rights Go to Pot?

Richard1354 Wrote: Jan 04, 2014 9:47 AM
The great thing about States’ rights, is that states can choose for themselves what is legal or not with constraint. It plays to our competitive nature. If legalizing pot makes Colorado more prosperous then all the better for the state, but I doubt that will be the case. Regional, national or international businesses expect a certain level of productivity and initiative which pot stifles in the individual. So hang out and get high my man. I’ve got a family to feed in another state where business will be brisk in helping everybody, not just focused on satisfying ones lust for a high.
Just curious if pot smokers in Colorado will have to pay smokers premium?

Is Liberalism Keeping The Poor, Poor?

Funny how web sites like MoveOn.org don't let you post comments. Afraid of convincing liberals to start thinking for themselves I suppose.

The movie preview of "Gravity" with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney looks awesome, but I will not be watching it. The star of this movie, George Clooney, should be made to understand the “Gravity” of his decision to support Obama. NO! Not one penny of my hard earned money will go to support George Clooney’s socialist politics. I will not contribute to the destruction this county. If you are serious about stopping the march of socialism in this country, then stop supporting it.
Appreciate your honesty, but my intention was to convey the need for us, the American people, to stop pretending all is well and to give greater thought to the needs of our society. The model of success is the model that works. So those who do not follow the model are more adapt to fail for that reason. America as given greater opportunity to minorities than any other country in the world, but that opportunity has been squandered by many and instead of building communities to value the virtue of honesty, strong work ethics and taking advantage of opportunities for better education, instead chose to believe the capitalist of racism, Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton. Jessie Jackson can't even keep his own house in order. The people that buy into their politics are victims alright, but not of the greater community of white men in this country. People need to start thinking for themselves rather than regurgitate the same BS as on CBS, NBC, CNN and FOX news
And that is an excellent lesson. But the greater challenge is how do we instill the virtues of honesty, integrity, good work ethics, critical thinking in a society such as this without telling everybody what to think. I am no educator, but our families have fallen apart and apart from learning those from the family unit, what options do we have?
Letting others tell us what to think, rather than learning to critically think for ourselves is akin selling yourself into mental slavery for the convenience of it all. The one thing that is truly yours should not be given to lies so easily because it is not cheap; and that goes to Democrats and Republicans alike.
The promise of paradise may well turn out to be hell on earth.
For much of our history Americans had a sense of fair play. Sure, some succeeded by lying, cheating and bribing, but in truth Mike, they are not what I would call a success as a human being.
