Obama is a disastrous administrator, but a very shrewd politician. He lays back on the very volatile issues like paring SS and Medicare, while allowing the Republicans to charge forward and face the tough decisions. Afterward he will use their actions to pound them during the 2012 election campaign, which as far as he is concerned has already begun. If it works, we are stuck with him for 4 more long and damaging years.

If only it were so, what a wonderful world it would be! However Oberman still has the Senate advantage, and when you throw in the girls from Maine his advantage becomes nearly insurmountable. Then too, he has the veto pen. So life will unfortunately be a bit more rocky for us conservatives than we first hoped. Now it becomes a guerrilla war for two years.

Limiting pay is nonsense. Let the market decide. Do I think someone who can play basketball is worth 20 million a year ? NO! but the market does, so be it!
