Why Are Liberals So Afraid of Prayer?

It's not that liberals are afraid of prayer. It's that one of the basics of life is a choice between God's authority and man's authority. Liberals tend to reject God's authority and instead place their faith in man (government)so anything to do with submission to God repulses them.
It is not the content of the speech I have a problem with. There is obviously nothing wrong with encouraging students to do well. It is the person and manner of delivery that are the problem. It is not the role of the President or the federal government to be directly involved in local education. The Constitution describes very explicitly these roles. Any time the President goes beyond those specific and limiting fundamental rules of our society, he is not helping America, but hurting it. Could there be a clearer example of Orwellian use of TV for directed loyalty to a specific man? Why should students be asked what they can do for the President instead of their country, or better yet their community? It is because that is the real...

answersingenesis.org has an excellent DVD entitled "Global Warming" that gives the real science on this issue.
I have 2 points. The judiciary is one of the 3 branches of government. If the court takes away property, it is a government take away. Also, as stated above, if property ownership is a fundamental individual liberty, how can it be taxed?; and how can be confiscated for failure to pay taxes or any other reason than failure to pay a mortgage loan back?

Main Street USA: Women in Danger!

I agree with the author. Christianity does not suppress women. Look around the world at the nations whose dominant religion is Christianity compared to any other nation and see how women fare. God designed men and women with unique characteristics for their roles. Even social science bears that out. We are not wiser than God, and do not fare well when we alter His plans.
While I agree with the article, it should be remembered that what President Bush was saying when supporting this is that if the government is giving funds to secular programs, it cannot discriminate against faith based programs. That is unconstitutional. To me, the best solution is for government to get out of charity work altogether and do its constitutional jobs only.
