There is absolutely nothing better one can do for the "least among us" than to work toward a vibrant, productive economy. Helping the poor only happens when there is wealth to help them with, and a stagnant, ailing productive sector like we have now in many ways hurts them the worst. Theology and economics, though in no way conflicting with each other, are distinct sciences. Knowledge and expertise in one does not imply the same for the other. These voices against Ryan are confusing the two.
