Planned Parenthood is not a government agency. It does not answer to anything or anyone but itself and its supporters. In particular, it does not answer, directly or otherwise, to the electorate. It is an enormously politicized organization with a fanatically-pursued agenda. It makes as much sense to feed it federal money as it would be to lavish tax dollars on the John Birch Society. There shouldn't even be the need to debate this. Every tax dollar PP gets is a dollar's worth of ideological support government has no business bankrolling.

I agree with your point except that on principle the John Birch Society would not accept government subsidies. And the JBS believes in the sanctity of life and the sacred public trust of the Constitution.
