Reminiscent of the old Soviet Union, where residents had to obtain government permission in order to travel, even within the Soviet Union. It also helps to explain the "mileage tax" liberals had been pushing. While claiming it's revenue enhancement, it also tracks you.

any surveillance drone will be flying high enough you won't see or hear it,and you wouldn't be able to hit it if you did see it.

Orwell warned us did he not? Face recognition cameras on street corners as well as this, we are insane to put up with it. Drones flying around the neighborhood? they're skeet birds if they fly over my place.

they will make the car tracker part of the license plate.

Scrap, states are already testing GPS-based systems to record your car's mileage for tax purposes, because electrics don't pay the road tax added to petrofuel sales. Naturally, they will implement this for ALL cars, electric and gas,-in addition- to the fuel taxes. It would auto download via transponders already existing at many major street intersections, the same way an E-Pass toll device works. States use the existing transponders to "measure traffic flow".
