Are you kidding with the birth announcements? They prove absolutely nothing! They were published for one of two reasons. First his granparents put the announcement which grandparents often do. Second, all one had to do in those days to register a birth was to fill out a form from the Hawaii Dept of Health and send it in in the mail and register it as a homebirth. That would have also automatically triggered those announcements and more than likely that is what happened. His grandparents wanted to register him as an American birth for citizenship purposes. It was done all the time.

And also, the "birther" issue never died last year with that forged birth certificate amongst those of us with critical thinking skills and there are millions of us. The Founding Fathers understood that a child's allegiance to his country would be shaped by the parent's allegiance and clearly foreign parents who have not been naturalized have no allegiance to this country. Wow. You are clueless Mr. York. Emerich de Vattell was the scholar whose writings the Founding Fathers referred to in drafting the Constitition. The C does not contain a definition of the term NBC because it was a common word at the time whose definition was easily understood to mean a child born on US Soil whose parentS were also US citizens at the time of the birth. If one of the parents was not a citizen at the time of birth, then that child is considered to be simply a citizen of the US. The Founding Fathers also recognized that the country was young and there were not too many people who would meet the NBC requirement at the time so they grandfathered in anyone who was alive at the time as qualifying for NBC.
