There is only one reason why Obama would appoint a tool like this. He's a "republican" and a war veteran. He's the perfect tool to help Obama dismantle our military, and in the process, dismantle this country. He'll also put the squeeze on israel, which he believe to be guilty of war crimes. Obama will point to Hagel and say, "See? Even a republican military man agrees with my destruction of the country." Sweet deal.

I think you are correct. It has been clear from day one that Obama has been intent on dismanling the USA as a world power or even a significant presence.

Former Nebraska Sen. Chuck Hagel’s nomination to be Secretary of Defense should be withdrawn now. He delivered what may be the worst performance at a confirmation hearing ever given. He was described as “confused,” “befuddled,” and “self contradicting.” One of Mr. Hagel’s own backers deplored the lack of “charisma” the nominee showed during the hearings.
