t gun shows in Indiana, Ohio and North Carolina, a total of five people were injured Saturday in accidental shootings as people flocked to the events on what was marketed as Gun Appreciation Day. In Ohio, Medina Police Chief Patrick Berarducci said a 62-year-old man was shot in the arm when his friend, a firearms dealer, accidentally discharged the gun he had purchased from an attendee. The man was taken to a local Ohio hospital, where he was treated for injuries to his arm and leg. Berarducci said the man will probably stay in the hospital overnight, but described him as in “good spirits.” Berarducci told the Los Angeles Times that the gun show at the county fairgrounds was so busy that police had to limit the number of people entering.

Three people were also injured at the Dixie Gun and Knife Show in Raleigh, N.C., when a 12-gauge shotgun filled with bird shot accidentally discharged, authorities said.

If you don't trust teachers with firearms, why do you trust them with your children?

Nice moral theater there, dud!

Like all liberals, you seem to think that people are completely incompetent and cannot be trusted to run their own lives. I think you would be more comfortable in a nice communist country.

What I STILL can't understand is why people like you are so eager to have gub'mint minders in charge of EVERYTHING. I understand why the minders want to be in charge of everything: POWER. But why are you so eager to turn over the keys to them? I am truly curious.

All of history shows that big government leads to oppression. It is human nature to want to exercise power over other people, and the result is always less freedom. But I don't understand a freeborn American who welcomes that. Please explain.

The show of strength by gun supporters couldn't go unnoticed.

Thousands showed up in New York, where Governor Andrew Cuomo recently signed a new strict gun control measure designed to make "assault weapons" illegal and limit magazine sizes. In areas of the country where open-carry is allowed, supporters proudly - and responsibly - exercised their Second Amendment rights.

In Boston,...
