As a citizen living in Iowa and transplanted from Kansas, I can tell that Mr. Barone is spot on. I have been amazed at the differences between the Hawkeye state compared to either Kansas or Missouri which you would think be very similar as close neighbors. The farms in this state are very well kept and efficient which reflects the peoples care in what they own. They will reach out a hand in assistence, but not necessarily in close friendship. They seem both conservative and liberal at the same time. All of this is reflected in the two Senators - Chuck Grassley a well right of center republican, and Tom Harkin who lives on the far left.

Obama: I Have Not Raised Taxes

Why is it never understood that you can't tax a corporation. Sure there are direct taxes to the business itself, but those are transferred to the consumer through higher usage fees and raised prices. Already the prices for my insulin pump are increasing with every order, and then to rub salt in the wound, the cap on my Flex Plan was reduced from $4000 to $2500 by the "Affordable" Health Care Act. This translates to paying already taxed cash for my Type 1 Diabetes treatment starting in May rather than November. Simply put Mr President, THIS WILL INCREASE MY TAX BURDEN.
