In many states transexuals who have undergone sexual reassignment surgery and have had the sexual designation changed on their drivers' licenses can marry.

The problem is, there is no such thing as an actual "sex change." There is only the surgical mutilation of a normal body to make it resemble that of the opposite sex.

I once talked to a married guy who had "gender identity" issues. Interestingly, he complained about his wife's (typically female) thinking, which he couldn't relate to. In spite of his issues, for whatever reason he had them, he still totally thought like a guy and didn't even realize it.

Quite true, DCM--"...make it resemble...." It cannot become the opposite sex; all the male or female characteristics wold have to be changed to those of the opposite sex for the a man to become a woamn or for a woman to become a man.

Normally, we would call such an individual mentally ill. But, doing the same thing with sex is somehow called normal.

It becomes difficult for everyday observers to navigate the convoluted logic homosexual activists employ as they attempt to remake one of civilization’s oldest institutions. The argument that redefining marriage to include homosexual couples is only “fair” rests on a specious interpretation of the equal protection...
