Maybe the President should have a noncom on his staff, although he will have one in his cabinet--Sgt. Chuck Hagel.

I'm one of those who think the President should have the Cabinet he wants. If he wants an incompetent dunce like Hagel, let him have him.

Earl, he works for us. If you were on the Board of Directors of a major corporation, would you allow the CEO to hire a bunch of idiot flunkies to run the departments? Or would you understand that it is YOUR job to make sure the CEO does HIS job well - meaning, hire the best people, the ones who will manage the company departments well? This is no different. The President of the United States must be accountable for his actions, and if he doesn't hire the right people, then someone needs to step in and stop him. In this case - our other branch of representatives have that responsibility. They were given that responsibility in our Constitution - it doesn't evaporate because you like Obama.

Like him, many people seem to fundamentally misunderstand his role. He’s not our “leader,” or our “ruler,” or our national “daddy,” no matter what his adoring fan, comic Chris Rock, thinks.

Let’s clarify things for those folks with the unseemly desire to offer up their personal sovereignty to some government hack. Unlike Hollywood geniuses better known for exposing their breasts than exposing their brains, I'll...
