One supportive word from Obama and an excellent compromise could occur, but without it (and I don't expect it), Mr. "I'm the king around here and everybody will do what I say" Obama will not budge, will not compromise, and the America we once knew will vanish faster in his second term than it did in the first. Just spend more, rack up more debt, keep passing our favors to all his supporters, and we all go down the toilet.
During a strategy retreat to Williamsburg, Virginia, leadership in the House GOP caucus took the opportunity to rally Republicans around a short-term debt ceiling increase that would come without any significant movement on deficit reduction.
