There should be no "exception"! The point is that a child conceived by rape is still a very innocent pre-born and does not deserve to be painfully dismembered and killed by sucking out its brains!

I suggest you read up on partial birth abortions, and what is sometimes done if the child survives the precedure. BHO is for the former, and in favor of letting the survivors die.
