The Republicans need to lead on issues, not let the press determine what the issues are going to be and how they are going to be presented to the American people. School choice is necessary because without it the socialists are destroying the future of American young people.

I am all for school choice, but I'll believe this when I see it from Romney. Prior to his first election Bush touted doing away with the Dept. of Education; then expanded it as soon as he got in office. I don't see Romney as being more inclined to anything more than the standard election lip service that happens every four years.

While the economy may take center stage this election season, it seems like Mitt Romney has given education reform a major role in his campaign as well. In a speech at the Latino Coalition in Washington, DC today, the presumptive Republican nominee spoke about the importance of expanding school choice, and condemned President Obama for capitulating to the will of the teachers' union.
