The budget issue is a red herring. The real problem is the Republicans continuing to vote for more spending in the appropriations process. They cover their hypocrisy with smokescreens like the debt ceiling issue, the budget issue, and the "balanced budget amendment" scheme.

Yep..they pay lip service to the Constitution. Remember in 2010, the first order of the first day was a reading of the Constituiton. He was so enthused after he said his piece, he LEFT the chamber for more important things such as a Presser with the FIFTH COLUMN outside the chamber. And we saw how involved the new House members were as well since only a handful remained in the chamber while the others followed the useless leaders trails, recited their piece and left. I was so excited they were going to read it from the floor til I realized this was just a play, to tell the folks at home, Look at me, I love the Constituiton and I'm on camera and reading a few lines. Buh Bye, see ya in 2012.

Despite talking for months about using the debt ceiling as leverage to get Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to pass a budget, spending cuts and entitlement reform, House Republicans are expected to vote on a temporary debt ceiling increase tomorrow.

House leaders on Monday unveiled legislation to permit the government to continue borrowing money through May 18 in order to stave off a first-ever default on U.S. obligations. It is slated for a vote on Wednesday.
