'Austerity' in Europe means tax rises and indefinitely postponed spending cuts. "Austerity" is EXACTLY what you, Pammie, and the rest of your ilk have bee clammouring for here. "Austerity" in the EU has nothing in common with "Tea Party Economics." Krugman knows this, deep down. He's just getting you ready for the middle class tax rises, national sales tax, and (yes, he said it) "death panels."
