"Using your logic Jesus would have said give the coin to the people who made it but he didn't now did he?" No, he said give to Caesar because it had Caesar's visage on it. At the time, that was how the Crown stamped money and indicated that it belonged to the Crown. Today, US currency bears the words "Federal Reserve Note."
I know who created the Federal Reserve, but do you know that it is not a part of the Federal government?
If you had read my piece instead of lying about it, you would have known. Mark 2:15-17 15 While Jesus was having dinner at Levi’s house, many tax collectors and sinners were eating with him and his disciples, for there were many who followed him. 16 When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?” 17 On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the SICK. I have not come to call the righteous, but SINNERS.”
"Pretty skewed actually. It's called Progressive Taxation" According to the OECD, we have the most Progressive income tax system in the world. You should see what the tax system looks like in Sweden. Big Government Robs The Middle Class Because That's Where The Money Is! http://predicthistunpredictpast.blogspot.com/2011/09/big-government-robs-middle-class.html The Non-Existent Stairway To Socialist Heaven In Sweden http://predicthistunpredictpast.blogspot.com/2011/11/non-existent-stairway-to-socialist.html
He didn't encourage people to give their wealth to the government. He believed in charity. Did Jesus tell Levi to keep his day job and stay in his cubbie at Caesar's version of the IRS or did he say, "Dude, quit working for the corrupt Leviathan and stealing the fruits of other people's labour for the government and 'follow me'"?
He's an embarrassment.
Did Jesus consider tax collectors to be healthy or sick? Did Jesus consider tax collectors to be righteous or sinners? If he considered them to be sick and sinners, then how could he be a fan of taxes they collected?
I didn't read your post. I know the parable. It is covered extensively on my blog with the Scripture cited.
Mosty (sic) Questions: Using your logic, then I should make my cheque out to the Federal Reserve, not the US Treasury. Who owned the denarius? Caesar. Who owns the US currency? The Federal Reserve....it says "Federal Reserve Note" right on it.
Let's judge Jesus by his actions, not his words: Did Jesus pay the tax? No.
