LOVE the questions, Carol, but Ryan would be preaching to the choir by delving into the details to answer them. The country resoundingly told us that these things do not matter, and further, that they are happy now to vote for a rock star personality. That's just the age in which we live, unfortunately. I honestly think the majority of voters now equate the presidential race to the format they see on American Idol, where the guy who can entertain us and make us feel good about ourselves gets our vote.

Paul Ryan is, of course, right -- spending is unsustainable and the USA is on an economic collision course unless some serious changes are made.  But if the GOP wants the public to understand what's at stake, they need to do better at explaining the problem than press releases like this
