Really? Okay, well I am a Republican from WI who opposes Walker. I collected recall signatures from other Republicans. Do you want to argue facts with me? Because this author is very confused. Here are two lies that Walker states and this author repeats about WRS: 1. Taxpayers pay for the WRS. 2. The plan is unsustainable. Their conclusion is that public employee pension expenses will fall back on taxpayers. Here is the truth. 1. WRS is 99.7% funded by the employees. 2. It is rated #1 in the country. Most public sector workers receive quit a bit less in wages than their private sector counter parts. They do this as a trade-off for the great benefits and security. I am not a gov. employee. Gov. Walker is a liar.
Really buddy? That is some intelligent discussion there. It completely ignored his comment. I am actually from WI and a card carrying Republican. I collected recall signatures mostly from Republicans. Don't let the media and the author of this dumb article fool you. Walker did not ask for a modest increase. It was a 12% increase even though the union workers had agreed to cuts for 10 years in a row. Walker has been caught in so many lies that even people who agree with him, do not trust him. The guy even tried to sell our utilities to the highest bidder with no oversight. The 3 school districts near me are facing closing. 25,000 of our teachers have lost their job and are now collecting unemployment instead of paying taxes.
I agree. Coming from WI, I find it hilarious that the author thinks people don't get excited over things anymore. :) I beg to differ. It is about the Constitution.
He put their money into the general budget. But wait, didn't he fix that? Nope. He did not even make basic payments. He spent more money than Doyle. All while gutting education. Two schools in my area will close thanks to Gov. Walker. So much for the lie about not laying workers off. Tell us another one Gov. Walker.
Oh Wisconsin wants to end corruption. That is why many Republicans are voting against Gov. Walker. The Gov. is currently under investigation for serious political corruption that took place while he was in Milwaukee county. He has also tried to sell off our public utilities to an un-named buyer with no supervisory board to set a fair price. Hmmm, I wonder who that could be? Maybe the Koch brothers? He consistently lies about his record. He takes credit for giving Polaris money to create jobs. Everyone here knows that Polaris is leaving and those jobs were already here. He did nothing but give money to a company all while telling us how broke WI is. He also took settlement money meant for homeowners.
