True. I suspect that "gshields" is really a hold-out Paulist. They spent this election claiming that there's "no difference" between Obama and Romney, and no point in voting for either one. And sending out daily e-mails demanding that I sign their petition or take their survey, but subliminally reminding me that Romney isn't as "conservative" as Rand Paul because Romney isn't advocating these positions. So the GOP lost 3 million voters, enough to lose the election. Thanks a bunch: you've identified yourselves as "my way or else" partisans; and so I can dismiss you as untrustworthy and unreliable; unsuitable for any position of trust.

Obviously, Obama understood he would never get the support needed for a gun control bill from Congress, so the astute Constitutional professor chose to skirt around the Constitution by signing on to the United Nations (UN) Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) shortly after his re-election.
