Note to statist trolls: Charity is defined by personal giving and sacrifice, not state confiscation and redistribution, something in which we 'right wingers' far exceed you "generous" liberals by any measurable standard. Maybe if your God wasn't the State, you'd know that.

What if you're in a car wreck and you are remanded to a vegetative state, but you could have avoided it had you been wearing a helmet. Should we be forced to 'pay for your healthcare' as well?

I guess you missed the part where helmets often keep people alive, on machines, at great expense, who likely would have otherwise been killed. Aren't you paying for that too?

I guess you missed the point that helmets may just as often prevent death but preserve a broken life that may require years of intense medical care. Aren't you paying for that too?

With all due respect, you're far more likely to be involved in a serious injury accident cruising around town at a low speed than you are riding on the open highway or freeway. I almost always wear a a helmet, but if I do remove it, it's on the open road in areas where trees are sparse, traffic is light and I can see the road ahead, and see any animals that might be entering the road. Riding around town where drivers are distracted and there are tons more cars is where I always wear a helmet. I know of one guy who was paralyzed by a car in a parking lot while he was cruising by at 10 mph.

And there are non-Muslims who work and pay taxes all over the Muslim world. Unfortunately, they have no rights and are called dhimmis, something we are becoming ourselves.

When I see them actively protesting what their 'leaders' are doing in their name. when I see them publicly renounce it and start working to reverse it, I'll cut them some slack. Until then, silence is consent. So far, all I ever see is even so-called 'moderate' Muslims defending Islam without ever condemning the excesses of it. Of course, we all know that criticizing the religion of peace by calling it violent will likely get you shot of blown up for your efforts. Ironic, no?

Ah, yes, the spurious moral equivalence argument. Tell, me, Mark, how many Jews have stoned their daughters in the past, oh, I don't know, 1000 years? I mean, compared to how many Muslims are STILL killing their daughters and/or wives for 'honor?' Can't find any? Didn't think so. Nice try though. But maybe you ought to engage your mind before commenting next time.
Well, you are a brilliant representative for your side, I'll give you that.
Jen, is that you?
