Being devil's advocate here; people signed contracts through unions and they are entitled to the deal they got. Don't get me wrong, I hate unions but I don't want to be the one saying "not my piece of the pie" if it is REALLY needed. Now, having been in the military I can say that there are a whole lot of areas of waste that can be cut without touching my medical.

I am a military retiree and conservative and am conflicted by the debate regarding entitlements. I don't want to be one of those people protesting cuts as we call for cuts but I don't really want to pay more for health insurance.

The systematic destruction of the fabric of our country starts with the devaluation of religion in our society. More emphasis is placed on "what makes me feel good right now" as opposed to "what is ultimately right in God's eyes" Sorry athiests, that is just the way it is.
