It's all identity politics. Obama won because the blacks, browns, yellows, reds, feminazis, malcontents, gays, Jews, communists, atheists, environuts & America-haters look at him & say, "He's one of us." They harbor a deep hatred for what they see as traditional WASP America, as they believe it's unjust & unsophisticated. In France (and most Euro-Socialist utopias) the socialists appeal to those who also hold onto a hatred of America and/or anything representive of traditional culture or "pro-white-Christian-males". Listen to their campaigns. If you don't vote for them then you're a lap-dog for American hegemony. They use that hate to maintain their political machines. Their victories have nothing to do with actual fiscal/monetary policy.

Can we just admit that identity politics works better than anything? Nowadays it's "cool" to hate white Christian men. There's no price to pay for being openly hostile to white Christian men (and most whie Christian women as well). Ideas, values, right & wrong...none of that matters anymore. In our current culture & demographic disaster, Republicans/conservatives/libertarians can't be non-white male enough compared to Democrats/liberals. Trying to appeal to Mexicans & Asians is pointless. Selling-out principles gets us nowhere. The only way to win America back is to do everything necessary to change the culture itself.

This is all because female officers complain they have a glass ceiling for promotions since they can't command combat-arms units (Infantry/Artillery/Armor). The Army turns punks into Infantrymen at Sand Hill. The process involves torture & fear, and is closed to the public. I was there, and I know there's no woman who can handle it. Many men don't make it. My platoon started w/55 & graduated 29. The physical part is a killer, but the mental part is pure hell! In Ranger school, after the worm pit, they line you up outside, make you strip naked in the cold, and then spray you with a fire hose to clean you up. No place for women there.

Fact: Women are a drag everywhere they go in the military. Ask any Army or Marine Private. Stay away from the officers, they're just political kiss-ups. Talk to the men in support units who have to serve w/women. Ask them how much harder things are w/women around. Ask them how women use their gender to "get over".

Years ago I was on a National Guard Counterdrug Rappel team. The DEA & other agencies did missions with us. I tell you, those guys will not tolerate anyone questioning what they do or how they do it. I was a young guy in it for thrills & money. Seeing people standing in their yards giving us the finger made me pause & reflect. When I spoke up about not being sure if our cause was right...well let's just say it wasn't a good day. The war on drugs is scary and the agencies running it are ultra-powerful. Don't cross them.

I grew up in TX in the 80's. We were taught that if the South had prevailed in the war, that nothing could have prevented future secessions and more wars. It would have been pure hell - ending in a few banana republics. We studied Sherman's farewell speech at LSU extensively and considered it pure prophecy - bordering on clairvoyance. Nothing good would have come from a Southern victory. It's very unfortunate that the Devil chose good southern people to do his dirty-work.
