True, but to restrict the use of money by union and media cronies that already have that ability denies the level playing field. The real solution lies in honest elected officials who refuse any and all conflicts of interests or appearance thereof, including oversight of appointments and bureaucrats. Until we find a way to return to the original intent of the Constitution, which was quite clear about the limits of government, eliminating all pork and entitlements, then it is an impossible dream. I'm afraid the point at which we could pull back the leviathan has passed, and only bankruptcy and collapse of our currency will eventually occur, no matter how hard Obama and the money changers try to fake it.

You are right that all those instances show Republican failure to be CONSERVATIVE. That is why we need to purge the party of the RINOs who support or fail to fight against them. It takes more and more grassroots action to bring true conservatives to elect and thus, unfortunately, takes time. A couple generations of apathy and greed in both parties, fed by the long march of Marxism through our education, media and entertainment industries, brought us to this point.

I agree. I have been disappointed in Newt in the past with his flipflops on "global warming" and healthcare, but he is clearly the most intelligent of the herd. His grasp of history and context is valuable in debate and forming constructive policy. I would pay to see him debate Obama and wipe the floor with him.

Notice how the word "small" has now become part of his rhetoric since it was used to describe Obama a short while ago. Everything he is/does is projected onto others...which seems to be the meme with the whole democrat party now.

Good talking points and many quotable lines -- common sense and Christian values at their core. Can we be saved/save ourselves at this late date? As We The People, maybe -- by God and our own survival instincts, we who are dedicated believers willing to do the hard work, understanding the ordeals the Founders endured to establish the framework for the most successful civilization in history. As a country? Who knows. The whole concept of "zombies" seemed silly to me until the last couple years, watching mindless people saying and doing mindless things, especially on college campuses, and on videos. . .people who have no clue how to PRODUCE something and EARN a living. They are in for a rude awakening...or ending.
