The Communist Chinese tried this once: the "Great Leap Forward" of 1958-1961. The result? An estimated 38 million dead from famine because the "Great Leap Forward" ended up destroying agriculture in China.

Castro, Pol Pot, Kim Il Jung, Chavez, the environmental mafia, the Khmer Rouge, -- all failures and all killed hundreds of thousands to millions to bring their communist dream to life. Anyone who is interested in reading what the life is like under these types of governments should read Aleksandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn a Russian writer, dissident and activist. He lived through and wrote about the gulag and the Soviet Union's forced labor camp system from 1918 to 1956. The left and the academic intelligentsia despised him for exposing their corrupt philosophies.
