Why should he? He won, right? For which he is now mandated to run the country the way he and the majority who voted for him would have him do. Oh sure, we are a democratic republic all right but that only applies during an election, not after one. Now the people have spoken.. If the legislature will not cooperate he will bypass them with executive orders. If there are laws on the books with which he disagrees he need not enforce them. It is what our under evolved founders called the tyranny of the majority but which we now understand to be the will of the people.. Those silly checks and balances and the processes by which they were to be maintained just constrain the good intentions of today’s caring and compassionate Liberals.

They are not the ones to be feared. It was their opposition for which those safeguards were intended and they have now been forever vanquished.
