Five Reasons Why Liberals Shouldn't be in Charge of Anything

The problem with the Lefts economic arguments, like so much else of their ideology, is that they admit to no limiting bounds. Their arguments for a minimum wage increase to $10 per hour would apply equally as well to a minimum wage increase to $100 per hour. Their argument for the government improving the economy by spending $500 billion per year would equally apply to spending $500 trillion per year. Their arguments for raising taxes on the rich' would apply all the way up to 100%. That is why they have so much trouble understanding or accepting the Laffer curve. It introduces a concept completely contrary to most their policy rational.

The natural extension of their arguments for multiculturalism would end up with no culture. They take diversity's value as a means to and end and worship it as an end unto itself. They start with the perfectly acceptable notion that there are multiple ways by which a culture can survive and flourish and ride it all the way to every culture being equally acceptable. They take interpreting the Constitution for it’s intent to interpreting the Constitution for their intent. The list goes on.

Your two points, Raymond, rests on the foundations of two ideas:

1.) The progressive economic ideology rests on the idea that wealth is finite and it cannot be created.

2.) The social ideology rests on the idea that government is a determining factor in how a culture develops.

Both foundations are fallacies.
A progressive society is necessarily built as a house of cards.

Dear Comrade Odin,

Apparently I do write stuff worth reading because you come back week after week.

You may not like what I write. But my advertisers don’t really care if you...
