Visions of Joseph Smith

Professor Adams, so far so good. The majority of people who spend time talking to LDS missionaries and read the Book of Mormon don't become members of the LDS Church. Indeed, one of revelations of Joseph Smith (a vision experienced jointly with his deputy leader Sydney Rigdon) is in Section 76 of the book Doctrine and Covenants of the Church. According to their vision of heaven, all the ordinary good people of the earth, who have NOT joined the LDS Church, will be resurrected at Christ's Second Coming and spend eternity in Christ's presence. Unlike many of our Christian neighbors, we reject the idea that good people who don't accept our religion must suffer forever in hell.

And the vast majority of human beings have nothing whatever to do with "evangelical Christianity." What's your point?

So, if there is no need to believe in Jesus Christ in order to get to heaven, what is the point then? You are saying that Jesus died on the cross needlessly, as his sacrifice was not necessary. That, as well as the other "truths" you mention, are in direct contradiction of the Bible. That means only one thing - you cannot claim to be a Christian if you feel it necessary to come up with your own version of heaven.

They will be in Christ's presence, not Gods presence.
There are many mansions in heaven, not all of them will be the highest.

You must be a Mormon then.
