Good Sense and Gun Control

Let Obama the gun hypocrite release all the files on Operation Fast and Furious about the hundreds of guns he put in the hands of Mexican drug gangs and the hundreds of people who have died with his aiding and abetting the crime. Obama does not believe in armed defense, including the armed defense of US diplomats and CIA employees in Benghazi, but he is hell on wheels in pushing guns to criminals. Were they assault rifles? Did they have large magazines with 30 bullets each? Did he do bsckground checks on the crooks they sold them to? Why isn't Obama guilty of felony murder through his illegal gun trafficking and the murder of a US Border Patrol agent?

Obama Ignores the Rational Answer

When a disgruntled former client shot several people at his law firm in San Francisco in 1993, I worked at another law firm down the street. We had a meeting to discuss ideas to increase security. I told them that I worked for five years in a large office building holding a thousand people and we never had a problem with crazies coming in with guns because our receptionists carried shotguns. It was the headquarters of Strategic Air Command, which controlled all of America's nuclear weapons. The government knows how to protect people from crazy killers. The point of Obama's laws isnot to protect us but make us more dependent on government and less able to defend ourselves.
The Newtown school board has hired armed guards to make the surviving students feel safe. Every school board in America should be forced to make a choice in publc between hiring armed guards and telling parents that their children's lives are not worth defending.
The attack on gun ownership is a red herring to protect schoolboards who choose not to hire armed guards to protect students. The president, Congress, and courts all have armed guards and metal detectors and x-ray macines to protect them and it works. School boatds have decided it is NOT worth the money to actually defend schools with the same kind of resources that the Federal government uses. No one in Newtownis asking why they did not have protection. And now tbey have armed guards pisted at the school to reassure students. Why not ask YOUR school board what THEY are doing to guatd against attacks?
People in government who want to take away the guns of ordinary citizens are also people who have armed security, metal detectors and x-ray machines protecting them in their work places. Everyone knows how to keep people with guns out of a government building, including a public school: Have armed guards at a checkpoint with metal detectors and x-ray machines. We protect our airliners that way, we protect the White House, the Capitol Building, and all Federal courts that way. I have to go into a Federal courthouse building several times a month for my work, and I go through security screening designed to detect firearms and other weapons. The ONLY reason that pubvlic schools do not have such protection is that school boards and...
The obvious stealing of the Hannukah menorah and use for Kwanzaa should tell any educated person that Kwanzaa is not an authentic African holiday. The notion that Africa would have winter solstice festival when there is no effective solstice at the equator, and it is the SUMMER solstice south of the equator, is another absurdity.
So when is Fast and Furious Obama going to open his files on the guns he sold to Mexican criminals that killed children in Mexico?
The City of Seattke has already passed an ordinance banning the carry of all knives with blades longer than three inches. Two years ago, a Native American wood carver was crossing a street carrying a board and a wood carving knife. A Seattle policeman stopped at the light saw him, got out of his patrol car, and confronted him with gun drawn, based on suspucion the blade was longer than three inches (it was not!). The Indian was confused and.did not immediately compky with the order to drop his knife so the policeman shot him dead. The police department declared he acted properly. So if you carry a knife in Seattle, you might need to carry a gun to prevent yourself from being executed peremptorily by the police.
Every business that advertuses itself as a "gun free zone" but does NOT actively protect its patrons with security measures should be liable to suit for deception leading peopke to dusarm themselvrs. State legislatures sgoyld make it law that anyone wanting to make their store a "gun free zone" has to actialky do it through guards, metal detectors and x-ray screening like any cpurthouse or airpirt. The school boards who failed to protect students shoykd be hekd responsible forwrongful death for children they wete obligated.to protect.
The White House, Congress and Federal courts protect themselves with armed guards and x-ray and metal detectors. It is simple. It is just inconvenient, and cists a littke money, but if you want to prevent attacks.in a particular building, that is all you have to do. Let us tax ammo and guns a little to fund detectors and offer them to schools that will hire their own guards.
