For fifty or so years, a liberal Congress has been at work; more often than not, aided by presidents who were far from conservative. The country has seen "incrementalism" at work, gradually expanding the national government. The health care bill is simply the latest in a long procession.... and it is certainly not going to be the last.

This procession has been unstoppable even during the times of Republican presidents. But President Obama has given us an opportunity, through his outrageous agenda, that is unparalleled. If ever there were an opportunity to change the direction of the country, it is now. "Freedom nationally" is a broad principle that appeals to social conservatives, libertarians, and maybe even a few...
